Description EULA FAQ

Why does the watch face request permission for my location?

For the rigt weather infromation to be displayed on the watch face, it needs to know where you are. From Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), new permissions means that the location permission must be authorised within the watch face.

I've clicked accept to the permission request, and it still doesn't display the weather.

This can be fixed by either:

1. Ensuring Location is enabled in the phone settings and either "GPS, WIFI & Mobile Networks" or "Wifi & Mobile Networks" is selected as the Locating Method

2. Unlike our other watch faces, there is no companion app with this watch face and therefore there is no method to enter a manual location. We hope to add this soon.

How do I change any of the settings?

All settings are now changed on the watch itself. Settings can be changed by going to long tapping on the watch face and selecting the gear icon under the watch face.

Who provides the weather Information?

Weather information is supplied by OpenWeatherMap

Why is there a difference in Weather Information from another provider?

OpenWeatherAPI combines Weather information from a number of different sources, including Commercial Suppliers and Amateur Weather Stations. This means that Weather displayed on the watch face can be from one of these Amateur stations and closer to your location than one of the commercial, City wide Average stations.

Can the Weather Information be supplied from another Provider?

We're currently investigating other providers of Weather Information, however the subscription based model these often employ mean that they are cost prohibitive for us.
